The HHIC has shown again its excellence in public construction by winning the last turnkey rail project in 2015.

HHIC, Construction announced that HHIC Consortium was finally chosen for the Samseong-Dongtan express rail construction project (section IV) on December 28.

This 43 month-long project aims to extend a tunnel by 199m and construct a railroad station and transfer facilities around Imae-dong and Baekhyeon-dong, Bundang-gu, Seongnam, Gyeonggi-do. The contract amount is as high as KRW 150 billion, and HHIC was named as the organizer with 41% ownership.
 
The Samseong-Dongtan Expressway Rail Construction Project slated to be completed by 2021 is launched to improve access to Seoul from the southeastern part of a capital region and relieve traffic congestion. 

In overall, there has been a fierce competition in the bidding. In a bid for the section IV as well, two consortiums tied on the design scores, which is very unusual. After all, HHIC Consortium won the bid with superiority in prices. In fact, a gap of bidding amount with the rival consortium was as little as 0.275%.

Including this contract, HHIC has achieved over KRW 200 billion orders (ex: Seohae Double Track Rail, etc.) in railway construction this year. In fact, the company has accomplished various achievements in railway construction such as Gyeongbu High-speed Railway, railway bed and subway. Therefore, this successful bid has again displayed its excellence in railway construction.
