HHIC held a groundbreaking ceremony for Science Technology Promotion & Exchange Center on the 23rd, a center which will focus on supporting the R&D of tenant companies in the West Busan Industrial Complex.
This 1-basement, 8-story building (building area: 12,618㎡) will be constructed on a 16,694㎡-wide site in Busan Techno Park, Jisa-dong, Gangseo-gu with an investment of KRW 25 billion (KRW 14.7 billion from the central government, KRW 10.3 billion from Busan Metropolitan City).
The center, which will feature a variety of convenience facilities such as an international conference room and guest houses, will support the R&D activities of the companies in the West Busan Industrial Complex. HHIC plans to complete construction by November next year.
An official of HHIC said, “Once construction is completed, the center will promote information sharing and cooperation between local colleges and businesses and help these companies enhance their R&D competence. The local industry will in turn become more competitive through this.”
As the No.1 developer in Busan in construction capacity, HHIC has been undertaking a wide variety of construction projects such as the Busan Visual Culture Center (Durenaum) in Busan.
