On January 5, HHIC held an opening ceremony for the year 2009 at the Seoul office in Namyeong-dong and the
Yeongdo Shipyard in Busan.
In its New Year address, the company declared its ‘Establishment of a Foundation for Economic Takeoff through
Transparent Management’ and announced its goal to strengthen competence by enhancing cost and order-
winning competitiveness.
For the first half of 2009, HHIC is slated to devote all its energy to survival strategies in order to ride out the current economic crisis and will establish a base for growth in the second half.
Based on ‘Transparent Management focusing on the Law, Principles and the Natural Order’, which gives a firm
base even in an unfavorable business environment and economic crisis, HHIC has determined to evolve into a
creative, tenacious company in which all employees put forth their best effort in the fulfillment of their duties.
