HJSC develops HAEMORO TOWN at the old downtown of Busan

HJ Shipbuilding & Construction (HJSC) is ready to build a HAEMORO TOWN at the old downtown of Busan by going on bunyang in Seodaesin-dong. 

 

In 2022, the nation’s leading construction company completed the construction of ‘Daesin HAEMORO Central (733 apartment units)’ in Seodaesin Area 5. The company is also slated to go on bunyang for Seodaesin Area 4 (542 apartment units) this year. Once this project is done, the grand 1,275 apartment-unit HAEMORO TOWN will be completed. 

 

Industry experts believe that a premium town would be built at this old downtown which has been relatively underdeveloped, compared to East Busan and Gangseo-gu that have recently risen as new housing districts. It is anticipated that the new apartment complex would boost the bunyang market in the old downtown. 

 

At the meeting held on January 13 to select a constructor for the Dangni Area 1 and Goejeong Area 2 Street Housing Improvement, the multinational construction company was named the contractor of the project. 
 
Dangni Area 1 located at #351, Dangni-dong, Saha-gu is as large as 6,238㎡ in site area. A total of three apartment buildings (up to 18 stories with 2 basements, 136 apartment units) and community facilities will be constructed. The construction period is 27 months. In contrast, Goejeong Area 2 situated at #1074, Goejeong-dong, Saha-gu is as large as 9,427㎡ in site area. A total of three apartment buildings (up to 27 stories with 2 basements, 225 apartment units) and community facilities will be constructed. The construction period is 33 months. 

 

Meanwhile, HJSC targets to promote the street-housing improvement project in Dangni Area 2 and Goejeong Areas 3. If the company also wins this project and successfully completes all projects, a large apartment complex with more than 800 apartment units will be completed. In total, the premium HAEMORO TOWN with over 2,000 apartment units will be constructed at the old downtown. 

 

With successful bids in Seobusan as well as for the Areas 4 and 5 Redevelopment Projects in Seodaesin, the global constructor is now ready to accelerate the construction of HAEMORO TOWN across the old downtowns of Busan. 
 

The South Korean constructor has also won contracts for a total of eight street-housing improvement projects in Wonjong-dong and Ojeong-dong, Bucheon, Gyeonggi-do with a goal of building a 1,500 apartment-unit HAEMORO TOWN. 

 

An official from HJSC said, “We have not participated in any project financing. Instead, we have concentrated on relatively safe and profitable housing redevelopment and reconstruction projects.” He continued, “We promise that we would keep building our HAEMORO TOWN according the purposes of urban regeneration and improvement projects.”
